The solution introduced the Home to new ways of collecting, depositing, tracking and acknowledging donations. This project reinforces the Omaha Home for Boys' mission of strengthening youth and families through efficiencies in process, improved donor relations, streamlined operations and cost reductions. The benefits continue, as the Home now is experiencing increased accuracy and efficiencies in data collection, timely daily account updates and the ability to reconcile accounts more easily and accurately.
"American National Bank really listened to us and our staff in order to create and implement a system that worked for us and deployed it during our busiest time - the Christmas appeal. The improved practices were easy for our staff to learn and manage. Most importantly, the business efficiencies are helping us reach our goal to expand youth and family service programs," said Jeff Moran, president and CEO of the Omaha Home for Boys.
In August 2011 American National Bank embarked on the project to automate the processing of donations for the Home and to integrate the donation information with Raiser's Edge, a client relationship management software application.
The bank delivered a service which enables the Home to scan checks for electronic deposit to the bank, scan donor and campaign information from associated documents received, and - an innovative feature - track and account for cash donations. The system produces custom-formatted data for importing into Raiser's Edge, enabling the Home to track donations from various appeals and automate the updating of information in the donor database.
